This small 4-bedroom home with dated brick arches is incompatible with contemporary living. The concept is to update the existing first floor, creating a generous parents suite, and add extra space for kids’ bedrooms and bathrooms. Demolished brick work will be salvaged and recrafted to create an industrial-styled aesthetic with a German schmear and charred timber cladding, punctuated with box window projections that create drama on the façade whilst increasing the usable floor space.
